The 4 small words smack dab in the middle of our mission statement.  Those words are huge. 

OUTREACH & SOCIAL CONCERNS

Is a group set up to arrange activities for LOTW to "act in the world".  Our goal is to have an event that individuals and families can participate in every 1 - 2 months. We have rung the Salvation Army Bell, sung carols at the Nursing Home, made and served breakfast for the homeless, played Bingo with seniors, cleaned up on Park Clean-up day, conducted a food drive, and gone to Feed My Starving Children. 

All are welcome and encouraged to participate when we have sign ups for upcoming activities. If you would like to help set up activities, coordinate or have ideas for activities, contact Dan Strumberger: danstrumberger@msn.com

Wednesday nights:

Watch for opportunities and  activities on Wednesdays to connect with others on a deeper level.

Theology on Tap -

Meet up with other adults for a cold beverage while we wrestle with a Hot Topic.  Second Wednesday of the month at 7 or 8:15.  Watch the Outlet or the calendar for location.

"Just Breathe" -

We light a candle and enter into a time of shared silence, and enjoy the presence of God. Check the calendar.

WOMEN'S BOOK GROUP

The Women's Book Group is meeting the 1st and 3rd Sundays.  Connect with other Christian women for lively conversation, support, and friendship.  You are welcome to join us any time.

Of course Sunday morning worship is the BEST HOUR OF THE WEEK - there is alot more to Light of the World than what happens on Sunday.  Bible Studies, Social Groups, Outreach, and Support.  There are many people with may interests...many ways to connect with others like yourself.

BIBLE STUDIES FOR MEN AND WOMEN-

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

Tuesday mornings at 10:15 a.m., at the office. Come one, come all.  No experience necessary.  Dig deeper into the weeks gospel and sermon.

DINE AROUND
“Dine Around” is a Fellowship idea to provide an opportunity for members of Light of the World to get to know each other and also “INVITE” new singles / couples / families to get acquainted with Light of the World.

3-4 singles / couples / families will be grouped together for 6 months to meet and eat at each of their homes.  Each host couple would “INVITE” new people to the group.  Groups would meet 4 times over the 6 months. Guests are welcome to continue coming to future “Dine Arounds".

WOMEN'S GROUP

We are a community of women who use our time together in fellowship and friendship to offer the light and love of Christ. We provide mutual support and reinvigoration that enables us to live with a heart and mind open to the world. We care for our community when a crisis arises and celebrate happy occasions.  We meet the first Saturday of the month from 8:30 - 10 a.m. for breakfast.
