Waverly Iowa
- FLOOD RELIEF
On July
3rd, Tom Saunders, Shelley Janos, Trevor Janos,
John Hedlund, Nate Toso, Lynn Koch,
and Dan Strumberger traveled to Waverly Iowa to help
with clean-up. After some car trouble,
and some good luck (ask Lynn) they spent the day cleaning
out a house that had flood waters
3 feet into
the main level of the house. Note - this
house is 4 blocks from the river.
They shoveled
mud and...(?) from the basement, and cut out
drywall from the main level.
They met and
worked with people from
Nechama which is the Hebrew word for
comfort. |
